USDA Extends Deadline for Farmers to Report Crop Acres

The USDA has extended a deadline for farmers to report their crop acreage due to this year’s excessive rain.  The new deadline is July 22nd for ag producers to file their crop acreage reports.

Nicky Miranowski, Director of the Faribault County FSA Office said that those with questions about the extension for filing their acreage report, should contact the County FSA Office at 526-3282, extension 2.

The USDA says there are two exceptions to the deadline: if the crop has not been planted, reports must be filed within 15 calendar days after planting and any additional acreage acquired after filing must be reported no later than 30 calendar days.
