MN Farmers Make Good Progress Last Week, but Still Behind

The USDA has released the Crop and Condition Report for Minnesota for the week ending June 9th.  According to the report, there were 5.3 days suitable for fieldwork last week.

 

As of Sunday, 92 percent of Minnesota’s corn crop had been planted, 14 days behind last year and the 5 year average and 79 percent of the state’s soybeans have been planted, nearly two week behind last year and the 5 year average.

 

Across Minnesota, topsoil moisture supplies were rated 2 percent short, 66 percent adequate and 32 percent surplus.
