USDA Says Most Crops in MN Behind Average

In its Weekly Crop Report for the week ending May 12th, the USDA reported that in Minnesota 35 percent of the spring wheat was planted, 4 days behind last year.

 

Oats planted were reported at 44 percent complete, 12 days behind average.

 

Potatoes state wide were 33 percent planted, 10 days behind average, sugar beets were 54 percent planted, 4 days behind last year and 2 percent of the state’s sunflower crop has been planted, about 2 weeks behind average.
