The Faribault County Commissioners have approved a resolution declaring a state of emergency as the result of the winter storm that hit the county on April 11th.
The winter storm knocked out power to numerous residents and caused severe damage to the infrastructure system that provides power across the county.
Officials are still assessing the damage estimates from the storm.
Board Members also approved Melissa Sonnek as the Jail Programmer, received a website update from Dawn Fellows and shared the day with students as part of the 67th Annual Boy-Girl County Day. The students received a tour of the Courthouse, Law Enforcement Center and shared a noon meal with the County Board.
