The Board also decided to have students make up missed snow days by adding ten minutes to the start of the school day and 10 minutes at the end of the school day beginning on March 18th. The decision must also be approved by the Blue Earth Area Teacher’s Association. The district will also add staff development days to the end of the school year. Board members also approved an alternate plan if the teachers do not approve the addition of time to the school day.
The board also approved the bids for a new boiler and parking lot at the High School at a cost of just over $1.4 million, approved the revised budget for the fiscal year 2019 and approved the proposed school calendar for the 2019-2020 school year.
