Law Enforcement Investigates Numerous Accidents Due to Icy Conditions

It was a busy day Monday for Law Enforcement across Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa, as they investigated numerous accidents, spinouts and reports of cars in the ditch, because of the icy conditions.

In Faribault County, the State Patrol reports 35 year old Cory Hansen, of Frost, was injured after the vehicle he was driving was rear ended by a semi on Highway 169, south of Blue Earth.  The driver of the semi, a 69 year old man from Waterloo, was not injured.

Authorities also investigated a fatal accident in Blue Earth County that claimed the life of a Mankato man.
