The Blue Earth Area School Board has approved adding two days to the school calendar because of winter weather that forced students to miss four days of school in late January.
Students will now attend classes on Friday, February 15th and April 22nd.
Interim Superintendent Dr. Jerry Jensen said in over 30 years as a Superintendent, last week was the first day he had ever had to cancel school for four days in a row because of the weather.
The Board also held a work session that included discussion of the commercial real estate purchase and sale agreement for the school building in Winnebago. The Board is hoping to have the agreement finalized for a possible vote at their next meeting on February 11th.
