Blue Earth Man Arrested After Allegedly Fleeing Officers and Crashing His Dirt Bike

A Blue Earth man is accused of leading a Police Officer on a chase before crashing his dirt bike.

Thirty three year old Chase James was charged with felony fleeing police and misdemeanor driving without a license in Faribault County District Court.

James allegedly fled on a dirt bike when a Police Officer tried to stop him for speeding and not having any lights on Sunday evening in Winnebago.

The charges said that the Officer lost sight of James after he ran a stop sign and went into a field.  The dirt bike was located soon after it crashed on James’ neighbor’s property.  There was blood at the scene and a blood trail leading to James’ residence.

James would not exit his home, but Police obtained a warrant and went in and arrested him.  He refused medical treatment.

According to the County’s web-site, James remains in the Faribault County Jail.
