Low Bid For Winnebago’s NW Improvement Project $1 Million Over Estimate

The Winnebago City Council has received the bids for the Northwest Area Improvement Project.  The low bid was $8.9 million from Holtmeier Construction, almost $1 million over the engineer’s estimate for the project.

Administrator Chris Ziegler said the Council took no action on the bid but will be reviewing the details of the bid and discussing future funding options for the City.

The Council did approve a temporary street closure on Cleveland Avenue West for the Chamber’s Halloween Parade and extended the mowing contract for 2019.
