Some Crops Damaged in Faribault County Due to Last Weeks Storm

According to the latest USDA Crop Report statewide there were 5.5 days suitable for fieldwork in Minnesota last week.

Nicky Miranowski, Director for the Faribault County FSA Office said that crops in the County received minor to extensive damage from last week’s storm, but because of the varying stages of development the crops are in, the full extent of the damage may not be known until later in the summer.

The state’s corn crop is rated 79 percent good to excellent condition and 75 percent of the state’s soybeans are rated in good to excellent condition.
