Some Southern MN Counties Awarded Money to Combat Noxious Weeds

A few Counties in Southern Minnesota have been awarded grant funding to combat noxious weeds around the state.


A total of $300,000 will be split between 29 projects through the Noxious Weed and Invasive Plant Grants.


Freeborn County was granted $7,500 to treat wild parsnip infestations.  Nicollet County will receive just over $4,000 to purchase supplies to treat noxious weeds and Steel County is being given $10,000 to hire a private applicator to treat noxious weeds.
