Blue Earth Police Make Arrests in Riverside Cemetery Theft

On May 28th, the Blue Earth Police Department received numerous reports of the theft of flowers from Riverside Cemetery, also stolen was a large quartz rock that was attached to a headstone.

 

On Sunday, at approximately 5pm, the Blue Earth Police Department received information on the whereabouts of the stolen rock.  A search was executed at a residence in Elmore and the stolen item was recovered.

 

Arrested were 33 year old Heather Rago and 37 year old Jeremy Hansen.  Both are awaiting charges of theft, receiving stolen property and criminal damage to property.  Both are currently being held in the Faribault County Jail.  Authorities are also seeking an accomplice, 32 year old Cassandra Gimmer of Elmore.

 

Also recovered during the investigation were several items stolen from the Dollar General store in Winnebago.

 

Assisting in the investigation were the Blue Earth Police Department, Faribault County Sheriff’s Office and the Winnebago Police Department.
