Blue Earth Man Rescued After Kayak Gets Stuck Against a Tree on the B.E. River

On Saturday, the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, the Blue Earth Police Department and the Blue Earth Fire Department responded to a call of two kayakers on the Blue Earth River who were caught in the high current and one was pinned against a fallen tree.

 

Forty seven year old David Frundt, of Blue Earth and a 16 year old male were kayaking on the river.  Frundt’s kayak had been lodged again a tree and he was unable to get fee due to the current.  When Law Enforcement and the Fire Department arrived on the scene, Frundt was still clinging to the tree.  The Juvenile male mad it to shore safely on his own.

 

Frundt was brought to shore safely by the responding agencies.  He suffered no injuries during the incident.  The Blue Earth Ambulance and the Minnesota DNR assisted at the scene.
