Gov. Mark Dayton has signed most of a bill authorizing almost $1.5 billion in public construction across Minnesota.
The bill includes funding for a number of projects in the area including $1.1 million for the City of Winnebago for an infrastructure project which includes sewer and street repairs. State loans will also be available to the City.
The City of Fairmont will receive funds up to $2 million for a new Industrial Park at the intersection of Interstate 90 and County Road 39. The funds will be used to extend utilities and construct curb and gutters along the road.
Windom and St. James will also receive funding for projects in their area in the Bonding Bill.
