Faribault County ranks 57th out of 87 Minnesota counties measured for overall health in the national, county by county health rankings published this week by the University of Wisconsin.
The report ranks the overall health of every County in the nation. Counties are ranked on how healthy people are and how long they live. They are also ranked on key factors that affect health such as smoking, obesity, access to primary care providers and the number of children living in poverty.
According to the report Martin County’s overall ranking was 53rd and Blue Earth County was ranked 54th.
Carver County was the healthiest in the state, while Mahnomen County has the least healthy residents in Minnesota.
