A Trimont man is facing a felony weapons charge.
Fifty five year old Oliver Williams Jr. has been charged with possession of a firearm after having been previously convicted of a crime of violence.
According to the criminal complaint, Police were dispatched to a threats complaint at a residence in Trimont last Friday where they discovered two guns. Williams claimed that a relative had dropped them off a couple of days earlier.
A check of Williams criminal record indicated a previous conviction of burglary in the first degree in 1994, which is considered a crime of violence in Minnesota.
